Tax Credits on Several Chevrolet Hybrid Models at Bryan Chevrolet The IRS announces that Energy Policy Act of 2005 replaced the clean-fuel burning deduction with a tax credit. A tax credit is subtracted directly from the total amount of federal tax owed, thus reducing or even eliminating the taxpayer’s tax obligation. Good news for you and Bryan Chevrolet because the tax credit applies to multiple Chevrolet models: The Malibu Hybrid and the Tahoe 2WD and 4WD. Malibu Hybrid: Credit Amount of $1,300 The 2008 Malibu Hybrid offers improved fuel efficiency, which reduces the amount of gasoline you use. And every gallon of gasoline not burned means fewer greenhouse gases that are released into the atmosphere. Its power is provided by the GM Hybrid Propulsion System combined with a 2.4L, four-cylinder DOHC Hybrid ECOTEC engine. In addition, Malibu Hybrid features - A 36-volt battery that consists of six modules that delivers 14,500 watts of peak power
- An electric Motor/Generator Unit capable of 115 lb.-ft of auto-start torque, and 3000 watts of continuous generating power.
- Standard StabiliTrak stability control system

When you need extra muscle of Tahoe’s Vortec V8, it kicks seamlessly. When you need to conserve, two small and lightweight 60 kW motors get the job done. And even better: when you pair the two-mode technology with our Active Fuel Management system, the Tahoe Hybrid offers up t0 50% better city fuel economy over the non-hybrid Tahoe.
Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid voted Green Car Journal’s 2008 Green Car of the Year®. The 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid has been named Green Car Journal’s 2008 Green Car of the Year® at a press conference at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
